1 /2 Tablespoon Almond Oil or your favorite oil
1/2 Tablespoon Polysorbate 80
Cosmetic Grade Gold Mica Until your reach your desired shade (optional )
Witch hazel as needed
Clean work area
Step 1: Wipe down and clean your work area. I love using Clorox wipes. They make clean up quick and simple.
Step 2: Mix your dry ingredients together thoroughly and slowly adding the gold mica till you get your desired color. The color will get a bit darker when you add in the wet ingredients. (set aside 1/4 cup magnesium salt). (Baking soda, Citric acid, Magnesium salt, Gold Mica colorant )
Step 4: Combine dry and wet ingredients (excluding witch hazel) until thoroughly combined.
Step 5: Mist mixture with witch hazel and mix thoroughly 1 spray at a time. Consistency is right when you can form a snowball with your hands and gently drop the ball back into the bowl and it doesn’t crumble apart.
Step 6: Mix the 1/4 cup of magnesium salt you set aside with 1 small scoop of gold mica to create a beautiful golden salt topping for your bath bombs.
Step 7: Add a sprinkle of the golden salt to one half of your bath bomb mold.
Step 8: Fill each half of the bath bomb molds until full. Stick your thumb into the center of one side and lightly over fill that side until there is a mound of bath bomb dust then gently press both sides together. Do not snap the mold together, the bath bomb should be thick enough that the molds don`t touch.
Step 9: Lightly press on the sides of the bath bomb molds until one half of the mold comes off.
Step 10: Place exposed side of the bath bomb on to a clean surface and gently tap or press on the sides of the other half of the mold to reveal bath bomb.
(Tip: placing the bath bombs on top of wax paper on top of a fluffy towel is a great way to prevent your bath bombs from getting flat bottoms)
Step 11: Let dry until hard. 24-48 hours depending on the humidity in your area.
Step 12: Soak and enjoy! 🛁
